What this panel does is it allows for moisture to escape more easily, thus making the jacket more comfortable. While inside the jacket, Revit have also done a clever bit of thinking here to make sure that the waterproof liner will be more breathable since they’ve added this mesh here at the waist and it is also in the cuffs. Inside, you also have an internal pocket for any other small items. This is a nice touch since you can extend your riding season into cooler weather and you can always take it out when it gets warm. Next up is the long sleeve detachable thermal liner. Taking a look inside, the jacket fastens with a central zipper down the front and, once open, you come to the jacket’s rain barrier, which means that if water does make its way through the zipper, that this off-center zip flap will direct water out the bottom of the jacket. A final note for the hood as well is that Revit have changed the liner material so it will now be black in all color options of the jacket. Though if you want to take it off completely you can do that too, since it is held on with a zipper in the back. Looking at the hood now, what’s really nice is that Revit have kept the button at the back, so that you can fasten the hood and ride without it flapping. For storage, you are getting a set of hand warmer zippered pockets on either side as well. On the inside, you have an elastic pull tab as well to bring it in if need be. ![]() But, if you are riding in warmer weather and need a bit of airflow, then you also get an air vent in the jacket in the sleeve, which you can zip closed when needed, but it will only vent to the waterproof liner.Īs far as adjustability, you are also getting a set of Velcro straps in the cuffs, a rivet snap in the bicep for cinching the upper arm, and another set of straps in the waist with Velcro, which is a good level so far. This means that the liner has been applied directly to the interior, and will help keep you dry. Lastly as far as comfort, the Rev'It Flare 2 will also offer a strong level since it is coming with Revit’s waterproof Hydratex G liner. This means that you can combine the jacket with a pair of Revit pants or if you go for a pair of protective jeans, then you can use also use the Safeway belt from Revit as well to zip everything together. The jacket can also be further upgraded with a SEESOFT CE Level 2 back protector insert, which is always a good idea and it also comes with a jeans loop and short connection zipper in the back. These are going to be a bit stiffer, but Knox do know what they’re about. These are built to be tough and will also help with absorbing impacts. The Revit Flare 2 is going to be coming with that same strong protector package as before with Knox Flexiform CE Level 1 protectors in the shoulders and elbows. Lastly, the jacket will be coming with a slimmer and sportier fit. The Flare 2 is also coming with reflective panels in the hood with the logo, which will help make you more visible. This is a tough and abrasion resistant material, that will help with keeping you covered if you come into contact with the road.
